It has a team of qualified full-time faculty members along with some illustrious guest faculty members from other universities. It offers one of the best opportunities in the country for higher degrees in English studies. It takes special care to stimulate the critical and the creative faculties of the students in a homely atmosphere.

The Department of English regularly publishes its wall magazine, titled “Treenayon,” under the supervision of its Language and Literary Club to provide a space for the students to demonstrate their creativity. It often arranges afternoon shows of films/movies based on famous literary classics.
